A NEW support group for single parents is being set up by parents with help from Colne's Open Door Project.
The first meeting will be on Wednesday July 17 between 2pm and 3pm at the Open Door Centre, Great George Street, and any interested parents are welcome to attend.
Community development worker Sue Hogg said: "We are hoping that the group will be part of the national single parents group called Gingerbread, which offers support, information and advice and benefits such as discounts on days out.
"It is up to those who come along to say what they want from the group, and to decide when and where they meet."
Anyone who is interested should contact Sue, Andrew or Stella at the Open Door Centre on 01282 860342.
