FORTY boy choristers from St Mary's Hall, Stonyhurst, hit the high notes at Ripon Cathedral thanks to new set of robes.
The new robes were bought after a fund-raising drive by parents and the choristers wore them to perform Evensong at the historic cathedral.
The annual trip to Ripon is the highlight of the choir's busy schedule, especially as it is preceded by a trip to nearby theme park Lightwater Valley!
The choristers were conducted by St Mary's Hall Head of Music Vincent Conyngham, who said the performance rounded off a busy and successful year.
"The choir is certainly going places and we hope to tour abroad before long.
"Stonyhurst has many connections abroad that we hope to utilise," he said.
The choir released a CD earlier this year and undertook acclaimed performances at the Lowry Centre, Salford, and York Minster.
