A CHORLEY resident is outraged at an advertising board placed outside his home which reads 'Hurt Me You Slag'.
The board, advertising the latest range of Pot Noodles, appeared outside George Topping's front window on Sunday.
George, 71, of Preston Road, said: "I'm sure somebody else must have complained about it. It arrived like a thief in the night on Sunday.
"I can see it from inside my house. It's directly opposite the front bedroom. I would like to see it removed.
"I can't understand how the advertising standards people approved the use of the language. It's disgusting."
He added: "It's on a bus route and round the corner from two schools."
Mike Gee, development control manager for Chorley Borough Council, said the council can only give permission for an advertising board to be used, not for its content
A spokesman for the Advertising Standards Agency in London said Mr Topping can object in writing. If his complaint is upheld, the advert would be banned.
The makers of Pot Noodle declined to comment.
