I NOTE that the Labour county councillors have changed the emblem, thus ignoring the tradition and history of our county.
This has been done against the wishes of the majority of the people, which smacks of dictatorship not democracy.
The cost of this exercise would surely have brought those old people's homes up to EEC standards. The Lancashire Evening Telegraph carried out an excellent campaign to save the homes, supported by numerous readers' letters, all of which were ignored by the LCC.
The LCC has shown the same characteristics as the old cotton factory masters -- contempt for the workers.
