POPS group Hear'Say fled a motorway service station after a man brandished an imitation gun, police confirmed today.
The band -- including Bury-born Suzanne Shaw -- were recognised by a group of youths at a service station off the M1.
One of the men waved what appeared to be a handgun at them, although no threats were made to the band.
Leicestershire Police Insp Mark Martin said: "The band members immediately left the services. The car the other men were in was then spotted on the motorway."
Northants Police arrested a man in connection with the incident. He was released on bail.
