CUSTOMERS can now say they are going to the Office for a quick drink thanks to the renaming of a Darwen pub.
The Office, Holden Fold, was named when Barry and Lynn Leigh opened the pub after a major refurbishment of the former Odd Fellows Arms.
Lynn, 51, from Bradford, a former upholstery machinist, and Barry, 59, from Liverpool, a french polisher, upholsterer and curtain maker did the refit themselves.
The Office opened on June 17 and is the couple's third pub in six years. They previously ran the Bull in Shipley and the Park in Great Harwood.
The interior refurbishment took three weeks to complete but the couple hope to move on to the outside work.
Lynn said: "We're hoping to stay about 10 years so we're looking to get the outside done up with a new beer garden and a car park to add to the car spaces at the front of the pub.
"The pub had been closed for two years so some friends of Barry' from Bradford came to help.
"There was such a lot of work to do but Barry used to do up pubs for a living. So if anyone could have done it it was Barry."
The couple aim put on a string of regular events. Sunday is quiz night, and Thursdays is Play Your Cards Right.
Tomorrow you can sing along with Sam as the organist goes down Memory Lane.
