WANDERERS' coach Phil Brown apologised for the fact that nearly all of Wanderers big names were sidelined for last night's 1-1 draw with Radcliffe Borough.
Coach Phil Brown felt it was a good run out for some of the less celebrated members of the squad.
He said: "The crowd will have been disappointed that the big-hitters weren't there but we still put out some good squad players.
"It was nice that some of the senior pros were here to mingle with the crowd and sign autographs."
Premiership hotshots Kevin Nolan and Michael Ricketts were among the crowd of about 1,500 at Stainton Park.
Richard Landon put Boro ahead on 53 minutes but Mark Moran equalised for Wanderers with just five minutes to go.
Premiership keeper of the year Jussi Jaaskaleinen started the game in goal alongside a makeshift team. In the second half the whole first eleven was replaced by some of the club's younger players, with Kevin Poole in the nets.
