LOCAL band Moco will be headlining a charity concert at the Mill at the Pier in Wigan on Saturday, July 27.
The Wigan-based foursome has been together for two years and consists of singer Steve Jones, aged 22, lead guitarist Anthony Rigby, 25, bass guitarist Nick Higham, 25 and drummer Simon Misra, 24.
Tipped to be the next big thing, Moco are widely known on the Manchester music scene and have strong followings in Manchester, Liverpool and their hometown while generating their own unique buzz further afield.
They recently supported The Charlatans at a sold-out gig at the London Astoria and caused a riot when they played with The Parkinsons in Manchester.
Also appearing at the concert, which is aid of the Mayor's charity -- Scope -- and Wigan and Leigh Hospice, are The Cherrypickers, Northern Sounds and another Wigan band, Garna.
