I KNOW Consignia have money problems and using an old listed building will compound that.

I would hope, though, that once the building is sold to a more business-minded company a small retail area could be rented by Consignia for the transaction of everyday post office business such as pensioners' giros, stamp sales, the posting of parcels and applications for TV licenses etc-- all the things which people travelling to the town centre by bus would find Theatre Street pretty inaccessible for.
