JUST for one moment let us put the bus station to one side and consider the proposals concerning the library.
It is my understanding that the Westminster Estate proposals include a new library.
Why? What's wrong with the Harris Museum library?
If this happens, what will happen to 75 per cent of the ground floor and 50 per cent of the first floor of the Harris?
I now read that the post office is moving and that one possible use for the Grade 2 listed building could be an extension to the library.
Which one? The Harris or the Westminster proposal?
Here is a thought. Would not the half empty Harris make a prestigious city hall?
I just wonder.
To paraphrase Hamlet: 'All is not well in the City of Preston'.
