POLICE are hunting two men who drove off in a van after crashing a Mercedes car which they were tryng to steal from a garage.
The pair sped off towards Blackburn after the incident at the Old Oak Garage, Hoghton, yesterday lunchtime.
A police spokesperson said the men arrived at the garage in a white Transit van which earlier had been stolen from Walton-le-Dale, near Preston. They then tried to take the Mercedes.
The owner wrestled the keys from one of the men and during the struggle the car crashed into a wall.
The thieves then got back into the stolen Transit and drove off. No-one was injured.
