GARETH CORDINGLEY has issued a plea to supporters to cheer title-chasing Darwen to victory tomorrow at Birch Hall in a crunch Northern Premier League match against defending champions Netherfield.
Darwen currently lead the table by one point from Morecambe while current champions Netherfield are twenty four points adrift.
A win for Darwen on Saturday would effectively end Netherfield's hopes of retaining the title.
Batsman Cordingley is in a positive mood about the game. "I see no reason why we can't win the game tomorrow.
"This team is full of matchwinners and on our ground we are always difficult to beat.
"We need as many people down here tomorrow as possible. The support of the fans will help us enormously and may also effect the opposition as I believe their batting can be brittle at times."
CHORLEY are at away at St Annes tomorrow.
