HALF of the fun of sitting in a bar can be people-watching.
For the fashion-conscious on their first of the night, it is chance to watch passers-by and see what they are wearing.
For those nearer oblivion, it provides the chance to point people out and laugh hysterically. So Bailey's wins hands down with its corner location, right in the heart of Accrington's nightlife -- especially with its huge windows.
Wooden floors and a sprinkling of tables and chairs encourage people to get up and dance and it doesn't take too long on a weekend night for the place to fill up with moving bodies. The music is the sort of party stuff which will keep you going all night.
Like the rest of Accrington, the place is still buzzing on a Sunday night when most sane people would be preparing for the next day at work.
But as long as there are places like Bailey's, work will not bother anyone out drinking on a Sunday!
