IN February four teenagers from Bolton released a single dealing about free trade and "consumer fascism".
An immediate hit with fans, Radio One DJ Steve Lamacq invited Kinesis down to London during a break from A-level revision to record a session for his evening show.
And it didn't stop there. American noise merchants, And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of The Dead celebrated their Manchester show by holding aloft a copy of the single, urging the audience to buy it.
They promised: "You'll see these guys with us next time we tour."
To cap it all, one national music paper described the band as potentially more important than any novice band in the country.
For the next piece of the jigsaw they joined forces with producer Dave Eringa-- who had just finished working with Idlewild on their Remote Part album. And, as with their debut single, the new record has a strong political stance.
Taking for its subject the continued injustice and political sleight of hand in the Western world, it's not for the faint-hearted.
Kinesis release Everything Destroys Itself on July 29 on Crystal Songs.
