IN a report on the front page of yesterday's Lancashire Evening Telegraph we referred to disabled woman Pauline French being unable to leave her house in Pilmuir Road, Blackburn, because of delays caused by a repairs backlog.
We would like to point out that the backlog, involving Twin Valley Homes, the owners of the property, is in fact a backlog for adaptations to help the disabled.
Twin Valley Homes now has a centralised repair service and improved planning of work and spending.
It is now consistently beating the targets set by the Housing Corporation for completing repairs on time and responses from tenants, who have recently had repair work completed, show that 87 per cent rated the service as good or excellent and only two per cent were dissatisfied.
We apologise for the error.
