I TURN my back for two weeks and the town changes. What on earth have the road boffins done to the magic roundabout at Twist Lane?
I came back from a fortnight's break to find multi-coloured lanes decorating the by-pass.
I understand the green and red hump areas, they mean cycle lane and slow down, but the beige with black skidmarks has me baffled.
What's it all about? It looks a right mess. Taxes could be put to much better use than creating Picassos in tarmac.
Bradshawgate too has a new addition - another charity shop, the eighth on the street, and this time for the YMCA
Just what we need.
It can't do the charities much good creating such tough competition in a small town. There's only so much people can give -- and take!
Sadly one thing that hasn't altered is the litter strewn back streets. They're a total disgrace.
