ONE lucky angler fishing the peg 11 on Island Lodge last Tuesday evening had a rare escape when lightening struck a nearby tree.

It brought huge branches crashing down blocking the bankside path with a huge crash.

But there wasn't as much excitement when Bury Societies Junior section fished the Hart Trophy last Wednesday evening also on Island Lodge.
