PRESTON will come alive to the sound of jazz this autumn as the First Feast of Jazz Festival comes to the city.
From October 1-6 there will be a wealth of entertainment including Stacey Kent and her musicians who will perform at Preston Grasshoppers RFC, Lightfoot Lane in Fulwood on Tuesday, October 1, at 8pm.

PRESTON Arts will be continuing the jubilee celebrations with rhyme and reason -- when they hold two evenings of poetry readings.
The Preston Poets and Writers Inc, will be reading a selection of verse on Monday, September 9, at The Muse Arts and Cafe Bar, Lune Street, Preston, at 8pm. Admission is free.
The following evening The Grimsargh Players will be reading at St George's Church, Lune street in Preston from 7.30pm. Admission is £4.

IF you like to tap your toes to an Irish jig then get along to Fulwood Conservative and Bowling club on Friday, August 16, when traditional Irish music will be played.
The Preston branch of Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eirann will be holding an Irish music session from 8pm at the club located at the junction of Garstang Road, Preston. Admission is free.
