WHEN she was pregnant Melanie White ate takeaways for two, but the overeating came back to haunt her.
After the birth of her son she discovered she was three stones overweight and a size 18, not the slender eight and a half stone size 10 she was on her wedding day.
With no clothes to fit she went shopping but didn't enjoy buying bigger sizes.
She tried to trim down from 13st 10lb by herself, but found it didn't work.
She discovered a Slimming World class in her home village of Culcheth on Thursday evenings, and after much deliberation took the bull by the horns and took her mum along for support.
Now she is the new consultant there!
After joining up Melanie shed three pounds in the first week, five in the second, and by week twelve was over two stones lighter and back to a size 10.
Melanie is now recruiting for her class which meets at Newchurch Parish Hall, Culcheth, (next to CPS) on Thursdays at 7pm.

Melanie said: "I had a country wedding, an Italian honeymoon and the wonderful discovery that there was an addition on the way. Nine months later I had a lovely son and a large problem -- the weight.
"As a breast feeding mum I was conscious that I should be following a nutritious diet and the class provided me with all the essential elements required for a mum and her breast fed baby."
