ON the road to a rock-solid business relationship are Bury-based automotive chemicals company Tetrosyl and Bibby Distribution.

For Bibby, whose head office is located in Liverpool, are now responsible for operating the entire transport fleet for Tetrosyl.

All remaining vehicles, drivers and transport support staff have now transferred across to Bibby. The revised operation employs some 58 staff and is operated from Tetrosyl's own facility in the Bury area.

This growth to the contract came about as a result of performance improvements over two years since first beginning the relationship with Tetrosyl.

Undertaking this expanded operation required a significant capital investment by Bibby Distribution, including the purchase of nine new tractor units and sixteen new trailers.

Tetrosyl, which is involved in the manufacture of chemicals for the automotive trade market, retail and household DIY goods, operate in an expanding market and their customer base covers a wide geographical spread.

The dedicated distribution fleet is supported by the Bibby Distribution national pallet network, which provides a constantly high level of customer service at competitive costs and services.

Clive Blake, logistics manager for Tetrosyl, commented: "The extension and expansion of this contract is indicative of the excellent relationship built up with the Bibby Distribution's frontline management.

"Their efforts in the last 12 months of the existing contract have delivered great benefits to us and our customers, which we are sure will be expanded on in the new contract.
