BOBBY Zamora was one of the most talked about young players in the country last season and he will make his first division debut at Turf Moor tomorrow.

The 21-year-old has fired the goals that secured back-to-back championships for the Seagulls and he will be the man Clarets skipper Steve Davis will have to keep a very close eye on.

Zamora forced his way into the England Under-21 side that competed in the European Championships in the summer and he has been linked with a big money move to the Premiership with Everton boss David Moyes known to be among his admirers.

Bristol Rovers allowed Zamora to leave a couple of seasons ago and as they have struggled must have looked on in anguish at their former player's feats.

He has had an interrupted pre-season programme but was in the starting line-up in the 2-0 friendly win at Bournemouth last Saturday.

Davis is hoping that he has put his own injury troubles well behind him after the frustrations of last season.

Normally a virtual ever present he missed five months of action with a couple of injuries but he is fired up and ready for the start of the new campaign.

A clash with one of the game's bright young talents is certain to whet his appetite and he will be determined to show him life will be a lot tougher this season than last.
