MAY I inform your readers that British farmers have resumed the trade in live animal transport.
Nearly 2,500 lambs were exported from Dover on July 15 on the notorious Caroline factory ship. They faced many hours on the ship followed by further long arduous journeys to other destinations after the initial step in Holland.
I urge you to protest about this odious trade. Please visit the website www.banliveexports.com
Why cause this cruelty and suffering when -- if killed here -- still fresh carcasses can be sent instead. Change EEC regulations -- it can be done.
