IN reply to Richard Cowen's remarks (Letters, July 18) about Sally Corkhill being identified in your article (LET, July 10) as a "self-confessed white witch," Ms Corkhill openly and freely stated her occupation as a 'white witch' in one of the pre-trial hearings.

In the trial, she then openly and freely stated it was her religion, but was of a 'New Age thing' and she was more into 'homeopathic therapy' and 'crystals'.

As to Mr Cowen's belief that the devil is a myth invented by the Christian church, then I suggest he debates this matter further with the 'few billion' worldwide Christians, as I am sure they would be more than willing to discuss this with him.
