DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses after a man was mugged for his mobile phone.
The 42-year-old was walking across the Asda car park in Princess Way, Burnley, at about 11.45pm on Friday when he was approached by two men. He was punched in the face, fell to the ground and was then kicked by his attackers, who grabbed his white Nokia mobile phone and ran off.
Det Sgt Steve Mounsey, of Burnley CID, said: "This was a vicious attack and we would appeal for anyone with information to get in touch with us."
The thieves were described as Asian males, one aged 18 or 19, slim, 5ft 8ins, with a skinhead, wearing white trousers, the other wearing a dark baseball cap and dark clothing.
