PLANS for a big brother-style boarding kennels for pampered pets have been delayed due to bad weather.
It was hoped Animal Lodge in Great Harwood would be open by now but owners Tracey Sutcliffe and Rodney Capstick building work has been delayed.
The £100,000 animal hotel -- which will have webcams installed in every kennel so people can log on, wherever they are, to take a peek at their pets -- is now due to open next month.
Rodney, 40, said: "The weather has set us back by about eight weeks so we are now looking to be fully operational by the middle of September."
He and Tracey, 30, who previously ran the Pet Hotel in Hapton for five years, took over the lodge, off Whalley Road last September along with their three horses, three dogs, five rabbits, 20 chickens and a cat.
Tracey said they decided to install webcams after numerous calls from pet owners fretting about their pets while on holiday The former timber kennels were demolished in April.
