DOWNHAM was transformed into a civil war camp at the weekend, as part of the Downham Hall gardens open day celebrations.
In addition to the usual stalls and activities, a camp village was set up by the Civil War Society, with characters in costume and even a set of cannons!
On Sunday there was a martial arts demonstration and nature trail. Money raised from the weekend will go to the village hall and the nominated charity, the National Wildlife Trust.
