CLARETS fans today hit out at the small minority of "supporters" who booed club chairman Barry Kilby at the weekend.
Kilby came onto the pitch to make the draw for the £25,000 Clarets Foundation draw and jeers could be heard from various sections of the crowd.
But today Paul Smith from the Boundary Clarets said: "We don't want idiots like that at Turf Moor - I could not believe it.
"As supporters clubs we have talked about it since the game and we are all agreed that if people are going to do that we don't want them to come along.
"Without all the money he has put in to the club, where do they think we would be? It is not just what Stan has done on the pitch, it's the work of the chairman off it.
"If these people are not prepared for a long hard season they might as well stay away and that is the view of most of the supporters at the club.
"I am glad we are away at Wolves on Saturday because that is where the true supporters go."
The chairman himself was philosophical this morning as he explained: "I heard the boos of course but I have got very broad shoulders.
"To be honest it is up to them what they do but all I will say is I believe we have been right in everything we have done for the club.
"We will keep doing what we feel is right for Burnley Football Club and play the cards we are dealt."
