A NEW advice service to help the rising victims of domestic violence is now available.

A counsellor from DIAS (Drop In And Share) will be at the Tyldesley-based Signpost Advisory Service offices in the Upper George Street college building between 10am and 12.30pm each week.

The expert will provide a service that the founder, chairman and senior advisor at Signpost, Clive Robinson, feels has been necessary for a long time.

He said: "We were delighted when DIAS approached us to use our service to help the victims of abuse, both men and women, and the children who witness voilence, who turn up for assistance each week.

"Those affected can come along to the office and remain anonymous, because the building is still used as a further education centre and no one will know who they are."
