WORK has finally finished on Darwen's Millennium Market sculpture. The £25,000 bronze globe was put in place last month, but council workers and the artist have been carrying out minor improvements to it.
The sculpture, funded by Government grants and a donation from Sainsburys, is located outside Darwen Bus Station. An identical one has been placed in Church Street, Blackburn.
Coun Kate Hollern, Executive Member for Culture and Leisure, said: 'This piece of street art is of great historical value, depicting the important industrial heritage of our two towns.
