A BRIDE and groom were certainly all revved up for their big day on Saturday!

Traffic was brought to a standstill as couple Ian Carruthers and Tricia Williams and the bridal party vroomed into town on their motorbikes.

The keen bikers, who between them own three bikes, are pictured driving to their wedding reception at the Brown Cow in Burrs Country Park on a Trike. The bride wore a beautiful long red dress and the groom was in a kilt.

The couple, who live on Warwick Close, Tottington, tied the knot the day before at the registry office.

Bridesmaid Antonia Williams (18) said: "Fifteen bikers followed my mum, and traffic was brought to a standstill as they drove through Walshaw to the country park.

"There was another 150 people at the reception, about 100 of them were bikers from all over Manchester."

She added: "It was a brilliant day. The party went on all day and night. "

Asked if they biked to their honeymoon in Cornwall, Antonia laughed: "No way."
