TICKETS for Rovers' big Premiership home date with Liverpool on Wednesday August 28 (kick-off 8pm) are now on sale.

It is the first Category A fixture of the new campaign and a match certain to produce a bumper attendance at Ewood Park.

The visitors have been allocated the whole of the Darwen End in a concerted effort to maximise attendance and minimise infiltration.

"We have decide to adopt the same policy which worked so successfully for our first home game last season against Manchester United," said secretary Tom Finn.

"We would like to remind supporters that tickets will not be available on the day."

Supporters with a record of purchasing tickets for home league matches during last season can purchase tickets for the Liverpool clash.

The number of tickets sold to each customer will be based on the number of tickets bought per game - ie: someone buying two tickets for three games last season would qualify for two Liverpool tickets.

Tickets, ranging in price from £11 (junior), £15 (senior) and £18 (adult), can be purchased either by calling the Ticket Hotline on 01254 671666, by post or in person at the counter.

Tickets will not be available on the day.
