WHITEFIELD residents are being invited to find out how they can transform their neighbourhood.
On Saturday, from 11am to 3pm, a special Home Zones consultation event will be staged at the Wheatfield Centre on Victoria Avenue.
People will be able to find out more about how the scheme works and the impact it could have on the Victoria Estate.
Working with the Victoria Estate Tenants' and Residents' Group, as well as Groundwork, the scheme is being supported through the Bury Council-run Whitefield and Unsworth Area Board.
Area board chairman Cllr Alan Matthews said: "The aim of Home Zones are to improve the environment and give priority use of local streets to pedestrians.
"At the same time, there is an opportunity to enhance the way the local community works together as a group and also address a range of local needs."
