FOUR people have been arrested following assaults in Bacup and Stacksteads last week.
Mark Hall, 18, of Rochdale Road, Britannia, and Daniel Roache, in his late 20s, of Booth Road, Stacksteads, both suffered broken jaws and have had to have their teeth wired together.
Mark's friend, Jamie Brown, 19, of Wallbank Drive, Whitworth, suffered cuts and bruises to his face.
Mark and Jamie were allegedly injured in separate attacks near to Marco's pizza and kebab shop in Union Street, Bacup, and Daniel was allegedly struck with an implement on Clegg Street, Stacksteads.
Sgt Richard Clare said a 17-year-old youth from Bacup had been charged with actual bodily harm on Jamie and grievous bodily harm on Mark and has been bailed to appear at Rossendale Youth Court on August 20.
Darrel Brighty, 22, of Gladstone Street, Bacup has been charged with actual bodily harm on Jamie and has been bailed to appear at Rossendale Magistrates on August 21.
A second 17-year-old from Bacup has been charged with grievous bodily harm on Mark and has been bailed to appear at Rossendale Youth Court on August 20.
Ashley Holt, 27, of Bankside Lane has been charged with grievous bodily harm on Daniel and was due to appear before Rossendale Magistrates today.
