THE champagne went flat for persistent shoplifter Christopher Rosthorn when he was jailed for 30 days.
Blackburn magistrates heard Rosthorn had stolen a bottle of bubbly from Edwards Wines and a bottle of vodka from Boozebuster.
Both offences had been committed while he was subject to a community rehabilitation order and a conditional discharge which were also imposed for shoplifting offences.
Rosthorn, 27, of Preston New Road, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to two charges of theft.
David Hartley, prosecuting, said Rosthorn had 114 previous convictions, 64 of them involving dishonesty.
