PINT-SIZED pop stars are taking Blackpool's Central Pier by storm -- stand aside Legends because here come the Copycat Kids!
Youngsters across the country may well be following the fate of these future stars on a Children's ITV fly-on-the-wall documentary.
From the first auditions of tribute wannabes through to the final performances, Copycat Kids are already creating a stir on terrestrial television. More than one million viewers tuned in to the first episode.
For those who can't wait to see who won through, a trip to see the show will reveal the identities of the successful young performers.
They're an impressive bunch too. Singing live, none of the 12-strong team of young performers is older than 15, and it's easy to forget how young these confident and talented youngsters really are.
Youngest is Greg Fossard, just 13 years old. He appears as a credible Gareth Gates, with a touching version of Unchained Melody. It's enchanting stuff, and you may be aware of an "ah, bless" feeling sweeping across the audience.
This is a pick'n'mix show with something to suit all tastes, including numbers from Britney Spears, Misteeq, Alicia Keys, Michael Jackson and Marilyn Manson.
There are not many live entertainment shows that will really appeal to starry-eyed youngsters, but Copycat Kids could well be the answer to cries of "I'm bored" this summer holiday.
Copycat Kids runs at Blackpool's Central Pier on Saturdays and Sundays until October 27. Performances begin at 2pm. For more information and to book phone the box office on 292029.
