THREE people were injured over the weekend at two of Bury's worst accident hotspots.
The first incident happened at 8.30am on Friday (Aug 9) at the junction of Rochdale Road and York Street in the town.
A 38-year-old woman from Bolton suffered shock and minor chest injuries when her Citroen car was involved in a collision with a BMW driven by a 70-year-old Bury woman.
The Citroen driver was taken to Fairfield General Hospital for treatment to her injuries.
The second accident occurred shortly after midnight on Sunday (Aug 11) when the driver of a Fiat Punto clipped the kerb before ploughing into a street lamp at Jubilee Way's junction with Bolton Street.
The driver, a 24-year-old man from Radcliffe, suffered bruising to his right arm and a male passenger, aged 22 and also from Radcliffe, suffered minor chest and whiplash injuries.
Both casualties declined hospital treatment.
