TOMORROW marks the second anniversary of Jack Walker's untimely death.
And Rovers' fans are set to pay tribute to the memory of the club's number one supporter with a bumper Premiership gate for their opening game against Sunderland.
With 24 hours to go before the big kick-off, ticket sales suggest tomorrow's attendance will be substantially bigger than last season's average.
The club will mark the anniversary by laying a wreath at Mr Walker's statue.
And the memorial garden and statue area will also be available to supporters wishing to pay their respects before kick-off.
Chief executive John Williams said: "If Jack could have wished for anything on the opening day of a new Premiership campaign, it would have been a full house complimented with a win."
The excitement of the Premiership kick-off, the league debut of Dwight Yorke
or even the chance to exact revenge for Sunderland's 'double' last season, has prompted Rovers fans to snap up tickets in great numbers.
A bumper crowd of 28,000 is expected and, with Sunderland expected to bring around 5000 vocal supporters to Ewood, it should make for a cracking atmosphere.
Seats are still available, but supporters hoping to attend the match are advised not to leave purchases to the last minute.
