DANIEL Berry and his family are celebrating the best news they have heard since the teenager's year-long battle against cancer began.
Results from 17-year-old Daniel's first bone marrow test following his transplant in May have shown no signs of leukaemia.
Daniel's mum, Elaine said: "Daniel was over the moon. It takes a long time for the body to recover from a transplant, but he is going in the right direction. We were dreading the results, as that one phone call could have put us back to square one."
Daniel is still recovering at his Crosby Grove home in Atherton, but next month hopes to begin a home study course in computing.
