A MAN standing in an alleyway performing an indecent act told a passer-by that he was waiting for children to come along.

At around 10.20am on Thursday (August 8) the man stood in the alleyway off All Hallows Road in Bispham.

As he was performing an indecent act, a 46-year-old man walked past and challenged him. The offender said he was waiting for girls and little children, and was grabbed by the passer-by who threatened to phone the police.

As he pulled out his mobile phone, the bystander was headbutted in the face and knocked to the ground. The man, described by the police as 'a pervert', then began kicking him and ran off down All Hallows Road towards All Saints Road.

He was in his early 20s, of skinny build, around 5ft 10ins tall and wearing a blue v-neck t-shirt and blue jeans. He had glazed eyes and slurred speech, that suggested he was intoxicated.

THIEVES stole music equipment from a Blackpool promenade hotel. At around 11.30pm on Tuesday (August 6) the culprits went into the Queen's Hotel and stole an amplifier.

The first thief was female, with shoulder length brown hair, of stocky build, and was wearing blue jeans and a striped top. The second was male, of slim build, with short dark hair, and wearing a baseball cap, a cream t-shirt with white stripes on the sleeves, jeans and trainers.

TWO teenagers tried to break into a car parked off Regent Road in Blackpool at around 2.30am on Sunday (August 4).

The pair were disturbed and made off. The first teenager was around 5ft 9ins tall, of slim to medium build, and was around 16 to 17 years old. The second was black, and around 16 to 17 years old.

A YOUNG man was attacked as he walked home from work through Blackpool town centre.

The 20-year-old was stopped by two youths on Bank Hey Street at around 10.45pm on Thursday (August 8) and asked for a cigarette.

When he refused the boys struck him around the head. The offenders were both around 17 years old. One was wearing a white polo shirt with dark stripes across it, and the other was wearing a white or cream coloured jacket.
