JULIE Lightbown's 21st birthday got off to the worst possible start.
Blackburn magistrates heard that as she left Jumping Jacks club in the early hours, Lightbown got involved in an argument with some other women.
And when she refused to leave quietly, Lightbown was arrested and spent the next six hours in a police cell.
Lightbown, 21, of Moorland Avenue, Blackburn, admitted a breach of the peace and was bound over in £50 to keep the peace for six months.
A charge of being drunk and disorderly was withdrawn.
Stephen Parker, defending, said Lightbown, a support worker for adults with learning difficulties, had been out with a group of friends.
One of them had been assaulted by a man as they left the club.
"Her friend had a bloody nose and she went over to find out what was going on," said Mr Parker.
"What happened afterwards was massively out of character for her."
