BLACKBURN Rovers have signed a deal with Accrington-based travel group Fraser Eagle to supply coaches for the Official Away Travel Club this season.
Rovers had used Shearings over the last couple of seasons to ferry fans to and from away games.
But travelling supporters can now expect to see a different fleet of vehicles on the nation's motorways over the next nine months after the club decided to switch allegiances.
"We're delighted to have secured the services of Fraser Eagle for the coming season," said Rovers' commercial manager Ken Beamish.
"They have a first class reputation for providing the last word in luxury travel.
"It's just the kind of service our enviable away following deserves.
"This year we've worked harder than ever to keep away travel prices down and avoid those irritating hidden extras that other coach companies sometimes add on.
"We hope as many Rovers fans as possible will use the service."
Ken Savage, group MD for Fraser Eagle, is also delighted with the deal.
"We're a North West company with one of the finest executive fleets of coaches in the country.
"Even though our business is booming throughout the UK and Europe, it's always nice to look after group travel needs a little closer to home.
"I know that many of the drivers are Rovers supporters and everyone at Fraser Eagle wishes the team all the best for the coming season."
Rovers' first away game is against Birmingham on Saturday August 24th.
A return trip to St. Andrews will cost as little as £9.50 with concessions for juniors, senior citizens and Supporters Association members.
Away Travel Season Tickets are also available to Supporters Association members (Adult price £205 with concessions for juniors and Senior Citizens) guaranteeing travel to every away match.
All coaches will be stewarded by official Travel Club Stewards with toilets and
refreshments always available.
To book a Fraser Eagle coach with the Official Travel Club, Rovers supporters can call one of the booking lines (01254 296208 or 01254 296223) or enquire at the Customer Service Desk inside Rover The Moon at Ewood Park. Email enquiries are also welcome at barbaram@rover-mail.co.uk.
