HOT August sunshine and and impressive entrants made this year's Fence Village Show blooming marvellous.
Attractions included a garden show and a competition entitled "Garden That The Judges Would Most Like to Take Home." Winner of that prize was Tony and Vanessa Peacock of Wheatley Lane Road whose immaculately maintained display captured the hearts of the judges.
One of those judges, Philip Hodkinson said: "It was a delight and a privilege to visit and judge these gardens.
"The variety was astonishing, ranging from a long dramatic steeply sloping site with impressive perennial planting to a tiny jewel of a backyard brimming with colour.
