IN Clitheroe, the town's BT telephone exchange needs to be upgraded to be able to supply broadband internet access to residents.
I have requested this on numerous occasions, but to no avail, because BT said it is too expensive to upgrade the Clitheroe exchange.
BT has just launched a new system for requesting broadband on their website www.bt.co.uk/broadband. Once 400 people register their interest at the website they will upgrade the Clitheroe exchange to supply broadband.
If enough people are aware of this, then some time soon, fingers crossed, we will reach this target and broadband will be available to Clitheroe residents.
