POLICE are hunting a man who walked into a Cleveleys bank and threatened to shoot a customer before demanding cash.
The robber, thought to be in his fifties, walked into the Royal Bank of Scotland's Victoria Square branch, Cleveleys at around 4pm on Sunday (August 19).
He produced a hand gun and put it to an elderly female customer's head before threatening to shoot her and shouting that he wanted money.
A Lancashire Police spokesman said: "A modest amount of money was handed over and he left with it immediately.
"The officers investigating the incident are anxious to hear from witnesses immediate prior to or just after the incident who may be able to assist us with the direction of travel of the offender, or a better description, or any further information."
The robber was described as white, aged around 55, and wearing a cream coloured baseball cap, a three quarter length dark blue "puffa" jacket and blue jeans.
He was carrying a dark blue holdall with a long handle in which he put the money.
He also wore thick rimmed glasses and looked sunburned.
