PRESTON City Councillor William Chadwick appeared at Preston Crown Court on Tuesday charged with a string of offences, including one relating to child pornography.
Chadwick, who is also a Lancashire county councillor, is charged with making indecent photographs of a child, and incitement to commit offences of kidnap, torture, rape and murder.
It was a preliminary hearing in front of Judge Peter Openshaw QC.
Chadwick, 48, of Avenham Road Preston, spoke only to confirm his name. No application for bail was made by the defence Peter Turner.
Prosecution will serve their papers on October 1. Following that, a plea and direction hearing looks set for October 22.
