A GOAL six minutes from time by substitute Chris Whittingham gave Clitheroe all three points in this NWCL Division One clash.
Warrington went down to 10 men when their centre half was dismissed for a foul on Lee Cryer, who was through on goal, on 16 minutes.
Striker Neil Spencer missed two good chances in the first half and Paddy Lauber and Andy Cowking had chances in the second.
Whittingham replaced Lauber on the hour and just minutes from time, he picked the ball up from inside his own half, beat two men and fired an unstoppable shot past the keeper.
Warrington had a chance to equalise on 88 minutes but player-boss Lee Sculpher threw himself in front of the goal-bound effort.
