IT was another good day for the Ryding family but especially young Joanna who was crowned overall women's champion.
The talented 14-year-old skier left her opponents trailing in her slip stream as she completed the slalom course in 11.91 seconds to win the girls Children Two class -- and the overall title.
The Pendle Ski Club member, who is top of the Grand Prix Series, now goes in to next month's All England and British championships in confident mood after success on her home slope.
Not to be outdone, brother David and dad Carl won the respective categories.
David won the boys Junior One class and finished second place overall while Carl, who is also the Pendle Ski Club coach, was first in the Masters Two class. The race, a part of the Club National series, is the biggest in the Pendle Ski Club calendar with more than 100 races held on the day -- from minis to Masters Three categories.
In the girls section, Jenny Mashiter of Kendall was first in the Children One section with Lauren Cadman of STS second and Laura Heaversedge of Sheffield Sharks was third.
In Children Two, Anna Wigman of Rossendale came runner-up to Ryding with Sophie Worral of Lions Yorkshire third and Caroline Wyatt of Pendle was fourth.
Emma Wigman of Rossendale won the Junior One class ahead of Kendal's Sarah Wharton who trains at Pendle while Annabel Franey of Gloucester was third.
In the Junior Two class, Sarah Howes of Sunderland club Raven was first with team-mate Victoria Lucking second and Sam Wharton, who also trains at Pendle, finishing third.
In the boys section, Andrew Roose of Lions won the Children One section ahead of Sam Dixon of Kendal with James Knock of Sharks in third place.
David Driscoll of Hemel Hempstead won the Children Two section with Chris Beck (Lions) second and Michael Furness (Sharks) third. But there was joy for local skiers in the Junior One class with David Ryding taking top spot and Pendle team-mate Daniel Wyatt in third place. Anthony Hean of Sharks was in second spot.
In Junior Two, Tom Kenny of Pendle was second behind Adam Lee of the Sunderland club Raven with Ian Stirk of Raven in third place.
Chris Royle of the SA Ski Club was first in the Seniors while in the Masters One category, Phil Elliott of Pendle was second with team-mate Mark Orrell in third place.
And Pendle's Carl Ryding pipped team-mate Colin Tee to glory in the Masters Two to complete a fine day for the Ryding family.
