CARS in a pedestrian area? What is our number one council doing now? They say that this is because the public want it, so why close Church Street in the first place?
The public didn't want it closed and we were disregarded then! It's for the shoppers. Rubbish! What shops?
Almost everyone using the new parking bays is then going into the main precinct and that's what the multi-storey car parks are for. How long before the new cobbles have to be relaid because of cars driving over them?
I have been an opponent of the closure of Church Street, but now it is, leave it to the pedestrians!
