A PRESS operator who became upset about his brother being arrested was shouting and threatening in the street.
Burnley magistrates heard how Daniel Robinson, 29, who was drunk and unsteady on his feet, went towards the police waving his arms about. He had been warned about his behaviour and told to go home.
Robinson, of Lark Street, Burnley, admitted threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour. He was fined £75, with £55 costs.
The court was told the defendant's brother had been refused entry to Isobar, a Burnley pub and ended up being restrained on the floor.
Rachel Adamson, defending, said Robinson's brother had received a caution for being drunk and disorderly, but he was of good character.
The defendant felt police were being rough with his brother, but accepted whatever happened, his behaviour was inappropriate. He had been upset but regretted appearing in court.
