THERE were two matches fished this week. The first one was fished on Bickershaw Labour Clubs' water, near the Queens.
There was a resounding win for 14 year old David Clarkson who drew peg 1 and he caught 26-7-0 which included a fish weighing 10-15-0. The best thing about this catch was it was all taken at 3 metres from the bank on catmeat.
The second in the seniors was Michael Renolds with 2-10-0 and third was Ian Mort with 2-8-0.
In the junior section, first was 10-year-old Chris Birchall with 4-15-0. Second was Matthew Madeley with 0-10-0 and third was Jake Waterworth with 0-5-0.
The second match was fished on Taylors Hole, Izaac, Waltons water and all the kids caught fish. The winner in the juniors was 12 year old Matthew Madeley who caught 14-5-0. Second was his younger brother, Stephen, who caught 9-5-0 and third was Chris Birchall who had 3-14-0.
The seniors winner was once again David Clarkson who caught 13-15-0 on maggot. Second was Martin Keaveney who had 10-12-0 and third was Daniel Burley who just missed out on winning when he lost a good fish near the end of the match. He finished with 10-7-0.
